The following itinerary will not bring you within view of manta rays. If you are very keen on seeing abundance of sea life, let us know so that we can suggest an island for 2 night stay. We can arrange for you to stay at a nearby facility with easy day access to sipadan island for a fantastic snorkeling experience where you will be sure to see giant turtles and lots of other marine life.

Day 1 : Arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport and transfer to Rasa Ria hotel (a 5 star beach front resort with miles of sandy beach, pools. Golf course, international, indian and western restaurants) At night, enjoy a romantic candle light dinner. [Specially arranged for you]

Day 2 : Enjoy the rest of the day by the poolside. Walk the beach, enjoy the sunset view; Enjoy the in-house activities including the Orang Utan sanctuary. Overnight in Rasa Ria. (optional activities include horse riding, massage on the beach, sea sports, table tennis, lawn tennis [B]

Day 6 : Back to mainland for Orang Utan experience at the Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre and Sandakan City tour. Check in to Borneo Hotel. [B,L]

Day 7 : Depart for Kota Kinabalu. At night, romantic candle light dinner with your love one and visit the entertainment outlets. Overnight in resort hotel with sea front. International, Chinese and Italian restaurants, pool side bar) [B, plus a specially arranged dinner just for you]

Day 8 : Enjoy your whole day by the pool in resort hotel . [B]

Day 10 : Island trip and snorkeling. BBQ lunch on an island some 10 minutes by speed boat from the city. Return to resort hotel by late afternoon. The Rasa Ria is a large resort hotel on the coast of Sabah in Borneo. The hotel has excellent facilities including its own golf course. The hotel has all amenities for your comfort and most of the 330 rooms have a view of the sea, garden and beach. The Rasa Ria is great if you like sports as there is horse riding, wind surfing, white water rafting, bicycles for hire and tennis courts. As well as the above the resort has a large outdoor swimming pool, a steam room and a jacuzzi and you can also have a massage.

Day 1 : Arrival KK and met at airport for transfer to Rasa Ria.

Rasa ria is a world class beach front luxurious resort facing the south china sea. Pools, deck chairs under coconut trees, golf course, poolside bar and BBQ, vast landscaped grounds, Indian, International cuisine and a must to drink and dine at “the Coast” a western cuisine restaurant boasting to be the most romantic this side of south east asia. A few orang utans are currently at the jungle near the site. Viewing by arrangement at meal times.

Day 2 : After a late breakfast near the garden, enjoy the miles of sandy beach. Look out into the horizon beyond the south china sea seated on deck chairs under a coconut tree or sit by one of the several inviting pools. Enjoy a spectacular tropical sunset. After dinner, sing a song at the lobby lounge accompanied by the resident band or request them to play your favourite tune. Why not dance the night away?

Day 3 : at Rasa Ria. Continue to explore and enjoy the facilities and optional activities.

Have a round at the 27 hole golf course on site – optional. Do nothing.

Day 4 after breakfast we take you for a day trip to the foothills of mount kinabalu [a world heritage site] where you can enjoy a dip at the naturally hot spring and take a canopy walk to enjoy a breathtaking view]. Return to rasa ria

Day 5 : After breakfast, check out and transfer to airport for flight to Sandakan. Proceed to Selingan Island for the chance to witness turtle(s) laying eggs on shore at night.

Day 6 : Return to Sandakan town. proceed to Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary to see our closest cousins at feeding time. TV documentaries have been made of this facility. After lunch, transfer to Sukau resort for viewing the proboscis monkeys along the river.

Day 7 get up a little earlier for a boat trip on the oxbow lake and be with nature as it awakens before breakfast. Return for late breakfast. check out to proceed to Borneo Rainforest Lodge in Danum Valley; a resort set in the virgin jungle with comfortable chalets. VIPs and Royalties have been here. Spot for birds include the majestic hornbills, animals approach the chalets [wild boars and small deers have often been around], canopy walk to spot for birds from the very roof of the forest. If u are lucky, you may see orang utans on tree tops feeding on wild fruits. That’s as natural as one can get to see them.

Day 8 : At Danum valley. jungle trekking with English speaking guide [all to yourselves if you like], “water tubing” down the river nearby. Experience the night drive safari.

Day 9 After breakfast check out of danum valley and proceed to semporna to take a speed boat ride to Kapalai reef resort. Check in and jump into the inviting waters for some snorkeling or a dive near the jetty – optional. Accomodation in chalet with bathroom fan and balcony. Enjoy an ever changing view of the marine life just below your chalet. Look out for the many star fishes, octopus, sea cucumber fishes of so many species and may be a turtle, lion fish.

Day 10 after breakfast, transfer by boat to nearby sipadan island; a world class diving destination.

Scuba diving and snorkeling – optional; but definitely irresistible. A vast array of marine life awaits you. Simply amazing! Often crystal clear waters. Accomodation in beach chalet with bathroom. Fan. Walk casually round the island in about 40 minutes at sundown and again at sunrise. Have sandals will travel.

We have yet to meet anyone who has not seen a turtle while at Sipadan.

Day 11 : After breakfast and join the morning’s dive/scuba trip. Do another dive/snorkel before lunch, transfer by boat from sipadan to Semporna and proceed to Tawau airport to take a flight to KK.

Upon arrival, check into STAR; a luxurious resort by the sea front with island and city views, pools, vast landscaped grounds, poolside BBQ and bar, lounge bar with resident band. Tennis courts. Grab a hammock when one becomes available. Chinese, Italian and international cuisine. Deck chairs by the pool and in the gardens near the sea front. Sunset bar by the sea. If you have not had enough of islands consider a day trip to hop over to the nearby Manukan island (feed the hundreds of fishes waiting for you at the jetty) or the Guyana resort for lunch.
