Proboscic Monkey & Fire Flies Tours
Continue drive towards the southern part of SABAH. Enjoy the vast countryside view along the way. Arrive for Klias River, located in the Southern Region of Sabah. Afternoon tea with some of our local pastry will be served. If time permits, you may get a chance to practice your skill on fresh water prawn fishing. Proceed on a boat cruise along the Klias River, which is a Wetland Forest Reserve. Visitors will have good opportunity of sighting some of our wildlife in their natural habitats. Wildlife normally can be spotted are the Long Tail Macaque monkeys, Silver Langur monkeys, variety of birds species and especially our well known Proboscis Monkeys. Local fisherman fishing for fresh water prawns and fish also part of our sighting. Continue boat excursion but this time search for the night star of Klias Wetlands Reserved. The volume of fireflies surrounding the Klias River will astonish you. Local Malay style dinner will be served after the end of the tour. Depart Klias River for the journey back to hotel.

Day 06

After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight departure to LAHAD DATU. Upon arrival, meet BNT representative for registration and short briefing After briefing, depart on a 2 1/2 hours overland journey on a logging gravel road to Borneo Rainforest Lodge. Once arrive at Borneo Rainforest Lodge, an exotic "Welcome drink" will be served while the Front Office Personnel will brief you on the facilities available at the Lodge. Lunch & dinner served at the lodge. Activities to be done will be Introduction to the forest through "Nature Trail", briefing and slide presentation at the Conference Room & Night Drive in an open-air jeep in search of nocturnal animals (If weather permits).

Day 07 |
After breakfast, full day activities such as Trek to the Kadazandusun burial site - "Coffin Cliff" then proceed with trekking to the "View Point" for a bird's eye view of the area. Descend to the "Jacuzzi Pool" for a refreshing trip ( Please bring along own swimming gear ). Lunch served at the Lodge. Optional of doing water tubing for an hour at the Danum River or trekking along the Segama River. Dinner at the Lodge before Night walk in search of nocturnal animals.

Day 08

After breakfast, free at leisure until check out and overland to LAHAD DATU Airport for flight departure back to Kota Kinabalu.
Upon arrive, transfer and check in hotel. Free at own leisure.

Day 09 |
After breakfast, meet at hotel lobby and proceed to the jetty for boat trip to Sapi Island with beautiful sandy beaches and crystal clear water which is one of the islands in The Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. Upon arrival on the island, you will be given a set of life jacket and a snorkeling set (which is to be returned after use).
BBQ Lunch will be served on the island. Free at leisure after lunch or you may enjoy others water sports activities by Own Expenses such as Jet Ski, Para-Sail and etc…Depart from island in the late afternoon and transfer back to hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Meet at hotel lobby and transfer to airport for flight departure to Sandakan by. Upon arrive, transfer to jetty for boat ride to Selingan Island.
It takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to the Island. Upon arrival, check into chalet and lunch at cafeteria, then free at own leisure e.g. swimming or snorkeling. After dinner, wait for rangers signal’s to see turtle laying eggs. Reburied and releasing the baby turtles.

Day 12 |
0700 depart island for Sandakan. After breakfast, drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform. 1000 hrs feeding of Orang Utans. At this center, observe man’s closest relative “the Orang Utan” being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo.
1100 hrs depart Sepilok and transfer to jetty in Sandakan. 1145 hrs take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will take your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan Town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, cruise UP river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife.
Arrive Sukau, check in at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Late afternoon, an option to take another river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan

Day 13 |
Wake up by the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, take a river trip to the Ox-Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river of Sabah. Return lodge for breakfast and then, visit to Gomantong Cave (subject to weather & road condition). After lunch, another river cruise to search for more wildlife in the late afternoon.

Day 14

After breakfast, check out chalet and river cruise down by boat back to Sandakan. Another chance for wildlife sightings with this approximately 2 ½ hours journey. Upon arrival at jetty, drive up hill to Puh Jih Syh Chinese Temple which offers a panoramic view of Sandakan Bay. After lunch, transfer to airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu.
 Meet upon arrival and proceed for Afternoon Tea at Atmosphere Revolving Restaurant and if time permitted, you can see the SUN SET from the restaurant.
Drop at 1 BORNEO HYPERMALL for about 1 hour before transfer to check in hotel.

Day 16

After breakfast, proceed towards to mountain area. Along the way, stop by at Nabalu which is a small town located near the foot of Mount Kinabalu to buy some local fruits & handicrafts. Proceed towards Kinabalu Park direction and make a short stop at the Kundasang Market along the way. Upon reaching the Park Headquarters, you can go for a guided trail walk along one of the numerous trails located within the mountain forest and follow with a visit to the Mountain Garden where you can view more species of orchids and as well as other endemic and medicinal plants found within the Kinabalu Park. Lunch will be served at local restaurant before continue journey to Poring Hot Spring. Upon arrival, explore the surrounding area. Activities you can do in Poring are trekking up to the CANOPY WALK and etc... that provide you the opportunity to better appreciate the rainforest and chances to catch sight of the small mammals, reptiles and insects. After finishing the trekking, take a dip in the Open air bath tubs filled with running sulfured water rising from the earth’s depth and soak in the self-mixed warm water which is believed to have therapeutic effect.
